An almost perfect little site

I like this: ThingsIHaveLearnedInMyLife.
locate.jpg
Simple message: send an image (or set up an animation like this one) and a one-liner of what you’ve learned in your life. That’s it. Little messages in a bottle that float away to distant shores. Compelling to flip through. It would be the perfect kind of site/service for widgets: get a nice little inspirational pick-me-up daily to put on your blog, or send in one. But unfortunately, I can’t even see an RSS link on it. Ah well.

Sign of the times

A short list of the better, or better-known,
popularity indexes out there. Of course Delicious and other sites are based around like-mindedness ratings, but here are a couple purely trend-spotting sites I’ve enjoyed snooping through recently: zeitgeist collage

Google’s Zeitgeist: analyses what everyone’s searching, and tracks this data over time.
Fascinating breakdown by country, and also a nice round-up at the end
of each year.
The Best Stuff in the World: a funky and fresh interpretation of the Zeitgeist theme, which is much
more social-network-framed and visual. Allows members, to start their
own blog-like conversations and has a Webby nomination for its
innovative navigation.
43things Zeitgeist: the old favourite of goal-setters everywhere. The place to tell the
world what you haven’t done yet and get on the road to doing it. The
Zeitgeist aggregates what the world wants to be doing with their lives.

Have you found other Zeitgeist-esque services out there? Let me know and I’ll add ‘em to the list.
